BSG Strategy Review

We would like your views on the BSG strategy. The strategy sets the broad direction that the BSG should follow, and it is due for review. The current statement of strategy has been reviewed by the Executive Committee. We feel that at its core it is largely fit for purpose, but that it should say more about three things: 1) That the BSG should have a focus on raising the profile of geomorphology within university geography departments (to ensure continued geomorphological learning and research). 2) The BSG’s role in relation to climate change. BSG members undertake research that will help society to understand, predict and adapt to or mitigate climate impacts, and we should promote such work. The BSG should also reduce its own impacts. 3) That the BSG should work to increase diversity amongst its members.
