The BSG Press Officer is responsible for promoting the Society's work in advancing geomorphological research and public engagement.
Geomorphology is a diverse subject encompassing study of rivers, mountains, glaciers, coasts, deserts and many more landscape features (including those of other planets!), and is closely aligned with other disciplines such as hydrology, geology, engineering and ecology.
The BSG provides a community and services for those involved in teaching or research in geomorphology, both in the UK and overseas. As such the Society is well placed to provide further information and comment to the press and media concerning all aspects of geomorphology and hazards such as flooding, landslides, and earthquakes. We have access to experts in all areas of geomorphology and earth surface processes through our large international membership.
